Woman of Valour Global Mission has called for nomination for 2017 Valiant Woman Award.
The organization celebrates exceptional Nigerian Christian Women who have been courageous in promoting excellence in marriage and family life. The award holds on November 13.
Speaking on the theme: ‘Naked Truth,’ the convener of the valiant woman award, Lady Lovett Obiakalusi said in this era of unprecedented divorce, separation, single parenting and same sex marriages, women who are promoting God`s purpose for marriage and family institutions need to be encouraged and appreciated.
According to her, the current trend is setting dangerous precedent for generations to come, adding that God would not be happy with us if we don’t take a bold stand on the truth. She said it is because of this, she came up with Valiant Woman Award to showcase women who are practicing marriage the way God ordained it, so as to use them to inspire the younger generation.
Last year, a woman who has been in marriage for 60 years and is still living happily with her husband won the valiant woman award.
Contributing, Mary Chinda, a T.V presenter and organiser of single ladies conference Nigeria said that one of the reasons the rate of divorce and separation are on the increase is because youths rush into marriage.
