Gunmen abduct former Minister in Kaduna

Gunmen have abducted former Minister of foreign affairs, Ambassador Bagudu Hirse in Kaduna and whisked him to unknown destination.

The abductors of the former minister have not demand any ransom as at the time of filing this report.

Police Public Relations Officer in the State, ASP Aliyu Usman who confirmed the development said investigation has commenced to tracked down the culprits as command had mounted checkpoints for stop and search within the state.

Eyewitness account revealed that the car of the former Minster stopped over in front of Alhaji Mamman Daura house, law cater along Inuwa Wada road Malali GRA, Kaduna while its passengers were exchanging pleasantry with some people when the gunmen arrived.

“They jumped down from their car and moved towards the former minster shouting on top of their voices get in! get in!!!.

“They shot in the air severally to scare people away and then zoomed off with the Minster in their vehicle.

The witness who could not ascertained the make of the car said it was later they knew who the gunmen took away.

The former Minister was said to be in company of  his friend, who had gone to pay condolence visit to the family of the late Sultan of Sokoto, Ibrahim Dasuki on Kabiru road, a stone-throw distance from the area and decided to make a quick stop over at the house of Daura who was at home and was receiving guests and other family members.
