Ex-international and former Technical Adviser of Zamfara United, Godwin Obinyan has thrown his weight behind the new NFF President, Ibrahim Gusau to succeed.

Obinyan who worked with Gusau when the latter was cutting his managerial and administrative teeth in football as the pioneer Team Manager and later General Manager of state owned Zamfara United said the emergence of Gusau is a blessing to the sport in Nigeria.

He speaks, “If there is anyone within the football fraternity of Nigeria at the moment who knows the newly elected president of Nigeria Football very well as far as football is concerned, I can beat my hand on my chest to say, I am.

“He is full of ideas and always eager to succeed. He detests failure and would go the extra mile sacrificially to get success. This indeed is the kind of administrator that our football needs at this moment to progress.”

Obinyan who has coached several clubs in the domestic league called on all football stakeholders to join hands and support Gusau’s administration in ensuring that Nigeria football return to its glorious days.
