In a recent interview she smugly declares, “Hair is show business” when the question whether showbiz appreciates hair as a key factor in beauty.

“I strongly believe every sector of the entertainment business knows the vital role hairs play and truly appreciates it. The beautiful part is, as the entertainment industry grows every day, so does this great regard for good hair grows everyday; not just by women alone, but my men also,” she added with aplomb.

Speaking further, she highlighted the role hair plays in the general outlook of a woman, taking into account all the vicissitudes that are associated with.

“You cannot help but notice a woman wearing good hair. A woman’s hair is actually one of the first most noticeable parts of her beauty. Women are beautiful with or without hairs no doubt, but the touch that good hairs add to a woman’s look cannot be overlooked. It is always the hair for me first. Good hair has a way of emphasizing the best features on your face and even body. Good hair is also an amazing confidence booster which of course the people in showbiz exploit to the fullest,” she said.

In her assessment of the beauty and fashion industry in Nigeria Salimon Oluwatosin Sandra posited that the industry is growing exponentially in relation to other industries and holds that the accompanying competition is a healthy one

Honestly, every day you see industry players adding their different touches to the industry. If you compare the beauty industry now to two decades ago, you will see immense growth. People are now expressing their love for everything in beauty in so many beautiful ways. Both the young and the old; women and men and even children. In fact, it is beyond amazing,” she said.

On competition she submitted as thus, “Truthfully, I honestly never see other brands in the hair community as competitors. I see them as learning platforms. You see them, you identify their strengths and possible weaknesses, you learn and use the knowledge to do what works best for your business. The Cassiehair Brand is also heavy on social marketing as this has greatly increased our reach, audience and brand exposure.”

Salimon Oluwatosin Sandra hails from Ilorin South, Kwara State. She was born on the 21st of March and grew up in different parts of Western Nigeria.

She founded the Cassie Hair brand in 2015 and later created the retail arm of it and named it Cassie Fashionistas.

Salimon Oluwatosin Sandra is also a realty consultant and manager. She is affiliated to several other big and small businesses. She is also a wife and a mother to an amazing daughter, Elena.
