An NGO, Helpers Social Development Foundation has donated a brand new toilet facility for Uwani River Primary School, Enugu.

While handing over the keys to the facility to the school management, the Chairman and co-founder of the foundation, Mr Chidi Okeke said that the project was done as part of its effort to ensure that pupils in the state learn in the best atmosphere.

“That is why we are doing what we are doing today. We have been on several outreaches and we plan to build more sanitary facilities. We want to build 50 toilets facilities in within the next five years. But we find help. We are running this project alone so we need assistance.

“We have also been going to other schools distributing books and other educational materials to primary and secondary schools across the state. Our vision is to ensure that no child is out of school because of lack of finances.”

“The most important one now is that we need water. It is my passionate appeal to the people, the community, and the PTA to come to our aid. This NGO is wonderful, the other time they donated exercise books for the pupils. They are really working.”
