The member representing Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency at the green chamber and the Chairman, House Committee on NDDC, Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has taken up the sponsorship of the education of Adedayo Kemisola, the daughter of late Adedayo Festus.
Adefayo Festus was a victim of killer herdsmen a few weeks ago while he was on his farm in Ajowa, Akoko North West LGA of Ondo state.
As part of his commitment to the development of youth in his constituency, the lawmaker has now promised to provide necessary support to Kemisola to ensure the death of her father does not put an end to her education.
Kemisola who is a student of the University of Abuja was full of praises for the lawmaker for the gesture. She promised to make the investment worth it by putting in more effort into her studies in order to make the lawmaker and the community proud.
This is one among the many students on the long list of BTO’s scholarship and education support programme.
Meanwhile, the lawmaker has promised to work with other stakeholders in improving the security of lives and properties of the people in the constituency and Akokoland.
Tunji-Ojo recently donated four patrol vehicles for the use of the Nigerian Police Force in the constituency to boost security and encourage the law enforcement officers.
