High Chief Stanley Obodoagwu felicitates Okey Leo Ohagba, Esq

High Chief Obodoagwu, popularly known as Ezeudo Gburugburu has extended his well wishes to the newly elected President of Ihiala Progress Union (IPU), Okey Leo Ohagba, Esq.

 

Ohagba was elected the new leader of the IPU at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Tuesday December 27, 2022.

 

The newly elected executives are to pilot the affairs of the Town Union for the next 3 years.

 

The election saw Okey Leo Ohagba, Esq. emerge as the consensus candidate for the position of President General (PG), and he was so unanimously elected, after other candidates for the same office stepped down for him.

 

The elections which held at the Council Secretariat of Ihiala Local Government, in Anambra State was adjudged peaceful, free, fair and credible.

 

Okey Leo Ohagba, a former National Officer of the Nigerian Bar Association and currently co-opted member of the National Executive Council of the NBA in his inaugural address pledged to deliver a more united, greater and progressive Ihiala. He also charged Ihiala people to brace for monumental developments.

 

Expressing his excitement and support,

High Chief Obodoagwu, the Chairman and CEO of AkwaAmaka Group, a business conglomerate which includes AkwaAmaka Production Limited (media, music and film), noted that he is happy with the outcome of the election.

 

Obodoagwu described the new President as “a symbol of service and dedication”.

 

In a congratulatory message on Wednesday, the High Chief commended the newly elected President of Ihiala Progress Union,  as a capable leader.

 

According to him, Okey Leo Ohagba will carry out his duties with incomparable hard work, dedication and creativity. He also assured that the new executives will work for the betterment and rapid growth of Ihala town.
