A twenty-six years old man (names withheld) has allegedly killed his father, mother and two sisters in Potiskum,  commercial town in Yobe State.
Family sources said the man, who was suspected  to be under the influence of drugs, stabbed his parents; Malam Abdullahi and Hafsat, his two sisters, Zainab and Aisha to death on Monday at about 11pm in their house at Tsohon Kasuwa Bataiya area of Potiskum.
“He stabbed and killed his father, Malam Abdullahi and Hafsat, and went further to kill his two sisters Salman and Aisha. He may have been influenced by drugs because he has been taking all sorts of drugs,” the deceased relation who preferred anonymity told Daily Sun in a telephone chat. The suspect has been arrested by the police. The deceased have been buried according to Islamic rites.”
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Toyin Gbadegesin, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), confirmed the incident in Damaturu, the state capital. He said the suspect was already undergoing interrogation by detectives.
