For Alice Duke, words cannot express her joy for emerging as the Most Beautiful Girl at Beauty of Africa International Pageant (BAIP) held at Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos on Friday, October 12.

After a keen contest, Duke beat 36 other contestants to emerge winner of the prestigious beauty pageant. Commenting on her victory, the newly crowned Duke said: “Words cannot express my joy. I want to thank all those who supported me especially my mum for all the love and encouragement. And I also want to thank God for this victory!”

Indeed, it was a night of fun and excitement, as the judges obviously overwhelmed had challenges picking the eventual winners at the event, which was anchored by popular OAP, Nancy Isime.

Speaking on the success of the event, organiser of BAIP, Daniel Opuene said his platform has once more delivered on a world class show. “The Beauty of Africa International Pageant (BAIP) is a beauty pageant that holds yearly in Nigeria. Its main aim is allowing participants to use their charm and elegance to unite Nigeria,” he said.

The new queen went home with a car gift, cash prize and an annual salary, including wardrobe allowance along with a corporate endorsement deal. She will represent Nigeria at Miss Tourism International World finals 2019.

Miss Bayelsa, who emerged first runner-up went home with an annual salary, wardrobe allowance, corporate endorsement, and will represent Nigeria at Miss Supranatural World in Poland next year.

For the 2nd runner-up, it’s an annual salary, wardrobe allowance, corporate endorsement and a trip to represent Nigeria at Miss Globe World 2019 in Albania, while the 3rd runner-up got annual salary, wardrobe allowance corporate endorsement and a trip to represent Nigeria at Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International 2019 in China.

The 4th runner-up also got annual salary, wardrobe allowance, corporate endorsement, and will be involved in humanitarian projects in Nigeria.
