It was a spectacular Easter holiday for families and guests who stormed Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos last Sunday.
Indeed, the Easter family party held at the poolside terrace of Lagoon Breeze was clearly modeled after Disneyland playhouse and couched in the Easter treasure egg hunt for parents and their children.
Sponsored by Pepsi Cola, the Easter Sunday Brunch, which attracted over 1,000 guests, turned out a great holiday escape for celebrities, business executives and young revellers who stayed through the hot afternoon till late night to celebrate the season. Smart kids dressed in classic wears stormed the breezy poolside terrace splashing fun while young adults and teenyboppers took wild plunge in the swimming pool under the watchful eyes of their parents and life guards.
The Easter fun cracker and the indulgent environment were reminiscent of the Disneyland roller coaster, as fashion played perfectly with wonderfully unique and inspiring cartoon characters, games and hands-on activities. No doubt the large turnout of families and guests at the occasion impacted on Eko Hotels’ executive chefs, pastry experts and restaurant managers who set up buffet style combo spread, spicy barbecue grill chops and exotic creamy chocolate fountain for a rich gastronomic experience.
According to the hotels’ Food and Beverages Manager, Abhilash Cherian, the Easter family party was a significant perfect moment for parents, children and friends to celebrate the Easter season in an idyllic luxury setting and natural environment.
“We provided a special games arena, bouncy castle and colourful Easter egg hunt for the kids to enjoy active, healthy activities and share great moments with their families and friends,” he explained.
On her part, Sales and Marketing Manager, Iyadunni Gbadebo, described the Easter party as a celebration of the family with fun games and other activities to share great hospitality experience and enjoy delicious buffet lunch menu.
“We had something special for parents and children to make the Easter party a memorable event. Apart from fun games, we set up barbecue hotspot and chocolate fountain arena and buffet menu spread for family fun and fine dining at the poolside terrace. Besides the array of scrumptious chocolate goodies and refreshing beverages served at the party, parents also had good times at Kuramo Sports Café where delectable buffet style cuisines from across the continents were enjoyed,” she stated.
However, Assistant Food and Beverages Manager, Mavis Onuosa and Outlet Manager, Tunde Oloyede were both engaged in the monitoring, billing and compliance standard checks toward the success of the Easter family party.
Oloyede explained that the special appeal of his buffet style to a wide discriminating class of gourmets and food lovers across the continents is in its uniqueness. “Aside the Easter party, Kuramo Sports Café caters to a variety of tastes and foodies from various continents and that’s the specialty product offering and fine dining experience that we provide for our guests at Eko Hotels & Suites. It is a reflection of our international standard steeped in uniquely individual African hospitality that makes our hotel the place to be,” Oloyede explained.
