In this interview, the 31-year-old sexual health expert opens up on his life and business.

Please tell us a bit about yourself.

My name is Adefemi Komiyo Lawrence. I’m from Akure in Ondo State. I am a sex therapist who uses trado-medical methods to treat erectile dysfunction, hormonal imbalances and others. I am the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fekomi Global Nigeria Ltd, parent company of Fekomi Herbals.

You studied psychology as a first degree. What made you branch out to sexual health?

I have background knowledge in sexual health treatment due to some herbals secrets I learnt from my parents. More so, sexual dysfunction is a menace to marriages in recent times, hence the need for solutions. However, psychology is a broad discipline that targets the understanding of human behaviour including marital institutions. Whatever affects humans affects the society, of which sexual disorder is one as it causes lots of issues in marriages.

Are you married? If yes, tell us about your family.

Not yet, but hopefully soon.

What does “Fekomi” mean and how did you choose the name for your business?

It’s the combination of my two names Adefemi and Komiyo; it has no significant meaning as it is a combination of a prefix and a suffix.

How long has Fekomi Herbals been in the business of providing solutions to sexual health issues?

We are still very new in the business but active beyond views. We have been around for over five years.

Are Fekomi Herbals products registered with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC)?

Yes, some of our products are NAFDAC registered while some are currently undergoing the process
