How Senator Oduah intervened on roads rehabilitation in Anambra North
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter
From Jeff Amechi Agbodo, Onitsha
The road users, commuters and motorists have commended the Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District in the Senate, Stella Adaeze Oduah for her special intervention in some dilapidated roads in the zone.
Senator Oduah has intervened and rehabilitated some sections of Onitsha-Otuocha-Omor federal road, 3-3 Onitsha-Nsugbe College road, Arasa road Oroma Etiti in Anambra West, Omagba road in Onitsha among the 129 roads rehabilitated across the zone within her second term in the senate.
Some of the motorists Mr. Obum Uzebi, Mr. Godson Ojide, Mrs. Mabel Nwadule, Mr. Abuchi Okolo who spoke to our correspondent commended senator Oduah for taken the bull by the horn by embarking on rehabilitation of death traps road in the zone.
They described senator Oduah as messiah who came to salvage the people of Anambra North through her various projects and empowerments.
“It is this time we know that a senator can rehabilitate roads, before now we thought it is only the governors and the president that can construct and maintain roads. She has taken legislative business to another dimension through the facilitation of various road projects in her Senatorial District.
“One of these projects is the construction of Arasa road, Oroma Etiti in Anambra West LGA. Anambra West known for its vast arable lands and fishing activities was in dire need of this project. Because farmers need to transport their farm produce to town for commercial purposes, the rehabilitation of this road became necessary.
“Senator Oduah in her magnanimity and love for her people facilitated this project to mitigate the hardship of farmers and commuters in general. Which she has done successfully. We have our votes for Senator Adaeze because she has plans for the betterment of Anambra North at large and she has already started showcasing them.
“Oroma Etiti known for cultivation of land expresses her profound gratitude to Sen. Oduah for alleviating the difficulty they experienced in conveying their products to markets. The community never knew time shall come when they will have access to good road but senator Oduah  has made it possible.
Anambra West indigenes who are mostly farmers have since completion of this road boost of rapid Agricultural growth as they can easily go to their respective farm land and can comfortably transport their agro products to the market for sales without much stress” said Ojide.
“On roads, Oduah has done exceedingly well for ndi Anambra North having about 129 roads to her credit is something we should all applaud and encourage her to do more by voting for her in February 25 election.
“The most beneficial aspect of the Otuocha-Omor road to the people of Onitsha, Ayamelum, Umueri and Aguleri is that buyer’s/customers and consumer’s can go their business places without much delay as traffic has drastically reduced on the road due to easy flow of traffi compared to what it used to be when the road was in very deplorable state” Nwadule stated.
“The farm produce directly from farmers unlike before when they must have to go to onitsha to sell any their agro products, the delay they encountered in  transporting this goods in those days made some of the goods to rotten and decay and thereby becoming useless and incurring losses to either the farmers or consumer’s.
“Anambra north is known to be mostly farmers whose daily lives depend on their farm produce. It serves as a means of income for them as well as strong sustenance for all. Having a good motorable road made work less difficult as they can be able to transport their farm produce to different locations faster and with ease.
“This was made possible courtesy of Senator Oduah, a great representative of the people who knows and understands what will benefit her constituents and as well makes sure that such is done. We want her to return to the senate to continue her good job and we shall all come out en masse to cast our votes for her” Okolo noted
