The Paramount king of Ndigbo in Ghana, HRM Eze Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu, a global Peace Ambassador, has called on Ndigbo in Ashiaman  to be submissive to the new Eze Udo Ndigbo, Ashiaman, Eze Kingsley Ebo.

HRM Dr. Ihenetu who is also the Assistant Publicity Secretary Association of Ndieze Ndigbo in the Diaspora, made the call on Saturday December 3rd at the coronation, installation and presentation of staff of office to Eze Ebo as the Eze Udo of Ashiaman.

Earlier, council of Ndieze and Igbo King makers from the Obiukwu Obieziokwu palace has assisted the new Eze and his wife to put on the traditional regalia and crown.

In his remarks, HRM Dr. Ihenetu said the essence of kingship outside Igbo Land is to promote peace and protect Igbo culture and language from extinction.

“As you receive this staff of office today, I thus charged you to uphold this objective of uniting and taking care of Ndigbo in your domain with love and justice and it shall be well with you”, he prayed.

Furthermore, the Umuduruoha Amaigbo Nwagele Imo-State multiple winner of awards of excellence for his distinguished service to humanity, said Diaspora kingship is not hereditary and permanently for a family linage, because the throne belongs to Ndigbo and as such, the throne should at all times be used to protect Ndi Igbo outside Igbo land.

The event also featured Igbo cultural dance and cuisine as the people were entertained with rich Igbo food and drinks of their choice.

In his remarks Eze Ebo thanked HRM Dr Ihenetu, as well as chairman Igbo Kingmakers in Ghana, Chief Harrison Mbah, Chairman Igbo community Ghana, Chief Uche Anyaogu, Chairman Council of Ndieze, Eze Samuel Ekezie and Ndigbo in Ashiaman and  for finding him worthy to be honoured.  He assured that he would use his office to promote love peace and unity among Ndigbo in Ashiaman and Ghana as a whole.

While Congratulating the new Eze Udo, HRM Eze Ihenetu urges the new king to be submissive to the law of Ghana and the traditional institution in his host country, Ghana.
