For fast rising actress, Jennifer Obodo, it’s difficult to accept to act nude in movies, but then anything can happen.
In a recent encounter with Saturday Sun, the Abuja-based script interpreter said: “I am very selective of the roles I accept, but I am yet to see myself feature in a movie where I have to go stack naked. Although, I don’t think I can, because my body is my pride. It’s going to be difficult to accept such jobs but this industry is not a place you will say ‘never’. So, anything can happen.
“In this industry, two things stand me out: I am unapologetically me and I am 100% confident in myself. I enjoy this best part of being a popular face; being recognized locally and globally, then getting various opportunities, having supporting fans, getting special treatment everywhere you go and the paparazzi.”
After the marriage of her colleagues, Frederick Leonard and Peggy Ovire, Obodo says she feels inspired to also marry an actor, if she finds true love with him. Hear her: “Anywhere I find true love, I will pack my bags and move there; whether it’s inside or outside Nollywood. But this is for as long as he meets my standard and avoids my relationship turn offs, which are refusal to admit your wrong, never apologizing and constantly playing the victim. Also, selfishness, insecurity and pomposity are a huge turn off for me.
On her plans for Christmas, the light-skinned, leggy actress said that, although she doesn’t have special plans, she is not ready for any dull moment: “My Christmas holidays are never boring because I have the best of friends that never dull any moment.”
