According to the Chairman/CEO, Atican Beach Resort, Chief Atiku Rasheed Abogun, the beach facility was established in Okun Ajah town to provide outdoor offerings, sandy beach entertainment, luxury style accommodation and hospitality standard for visitors, tourists and corporate executives.

“I decided to set up Atican Beach Resort after my travel experience and exposure across Europe and America. I believe escaping from the hustle and bustle of urban life is very important. I don’t see why business executives or entrepreneurs who work so hard should be bogged down by stress, which is a burden to healthy living. That is the problem we face in the task of economic and social endeavours. Therefore, my investment in the hospitality and tourism sector was driven towards contributing my quota to healthy living and comfortable lifestyle,” he explained.

Abogun believes that for leisure and holiday escape, there is no need traveling abroad, as staying at home will help conserve foreign exchange and promote tourism development in Nigeria.

On why he named his exclusive lounge bar ‘Bar Wahala’, Abogun said it was a deliberate coinage dedicated to a loyal friend and customer, and it has become a treasure for quality service.
