Dr Samuel Kayode Adebayo is consultant obstetrician and gyneacologist, General Hospital, Ifako Ijaye and the Medical Director of Dayspring Specialist Hospital, Ikotun, in Lagos. He is a thoroughbred professional and passionate about this aspect of medicine and has helped many families become complete through his knowledge and experience. In this interview, he tells why he loves taking tea and what are favourite brand is.

What kind of tea do you take?

Basically, I take Lipton, I take decaffeinated coffee and at times I also take caffeinated one too.

How often do you take tea?

It is as frequent as three to four times in a week.

How do you love to take your tea?

Well, for the coffee, I can suffice without milk but with Lipton, most of the times yes, it is without milk but at times I take milk.

When do you love taking your tea?

Surprisingly, it is early in the morning or shortly before I go in for a surgery.

Whoa! Plenty; yes, everybody in the family takes tea.

When did you start to take tea?

Ah! As far back as my university days; that’s should be like, talking about as far back as in the 80’s till now.

What has the experience been like?

The experience has been good. Well it is very good; I enjoy the taste.

How and what benefit do you derive from it?

Well, the benefits? Most times, for those of us who are very busy, we hardly have time to eat, so, it serves as a minor breakfast.

At least, that is when you put sugar and milk if you are taking it purposely to serve as a mild meal.
