General Overseer of Firehouse Church, Abuja, Bishop Emmanuel Esezebor has refuted the allegation that a trader died in a coffin after he offered him the sum of N500,000.00 for a miracle scam.
The publication in one of the national dailies on January 28, 2020; Drama as man dies in coffin after Abuja Pastor allegedly paid N500,000.00  for miracle scam had it that Esezebor offered a trader N500,000.00 for him to pretend as if he was a dead, so that the pastor could raise him from dead. But unfortunately, he died in the coffin before getting to the stadium where the pastor was holding his crusade in Abuja, which led to wife of the deceased trader arresting the Bishop with the police.
In a released issued by the Administrator of Firehouse Church, Mr Emmanuel Nike, same publication was posted on Facebook on 24th November, 2016 and the Bishop refuted  the allegations and published it in two popular television stations in Nigeria.
He explained that Firehouse Church International Worship Centre, Nyanya Abuja categorically state that the entire contents, events, venue and persons mentioned in the said publication are fake, untrue, false, unfounded and maliciously fabricated to smear and bring to disrepute the person of Bishop and Rev Mrs Emmanuel Esezebor and the church at large. “This, we know, is curdled from the figment of their human imagination for wickedness by mischief makers. Bishop Esezebor and his wife are children of God, law abiding citizens and respected Nigerians who, under no circumstances, would stoop themselves low to partake or perform the alleged dastard acts.”
Nwike noted that Firehouse Church is a registered organization under the relevant laws in force in the federal republic of Nigeria, with the mission to raise Men, Women and Children of fire that will affect their world positively. “This is what our organization has constantly undertaken for the past nine years .”
According to Nwike, the publication had it that after being arrested by the police, Bishop Esezebor was released through the help of his influential friends in Abuja and he later went back to the business of performing strange miracle in his church.
The administrator said the forgoing not withstanding , the church does not intend to cover-up the wrong dealings in respect of the matter, as a reputable body , therefore requested any one with useful and authentic information and evidence relevant to the matter to come up with it. “Such information should include the date, place of event, the name and details of the said deceased person, including his relatives and places of business. Importantly, since the act is a crime against the state, we request that such informant should equally state the Nigeria Police Division  where the said matter was reported and the investigating Police Officer that handled the matter.”
