Governor Muhammed Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State has said that he would not be distracted by detractors who said that the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration has not executed new projects across the state.
Governor Badaru stated this, on Sunday, at the official presentation of a constituency office,15 cars, 80 motorcycles among others by the member representing Guri/Kirikasamma/Birniwa, in the National Aasembly, Dr. Abubakar HassanFulata at Kirikasamma Local Government Area of the state.
In the wordanof Gocvernor Badaru, “it is the same people that are criticising us today that have failed to put adequate repairing measures of classrooms, hospitals in the previous administrations that are accusing us of foot dragging on the execution of new projects across the state.
Because we inherited massive disrepair of schools, poor health care facilities and billions of Naira worth of abandoned road projects that we swore to complete and repair before embarking upon new ones yet they have the audacity to criticise us”, he stated.
The governor who said that the people of the state know better than to listen to those critics pleaded for more patience declaring that, “after completing their abandoned roads projects we would open-up new ones”.
Earlier, Hon. Fulata had presented an office complex that would serve as his constituency office, cars, motorcycles, sewing machines, wielding machines and other implements worth about N40 million to the people of the area.
Making the presentation, the federal lawmaker said the gesture is borne out of his zeal to support the poor people from his area through empowering them with working tools that would serve as means of livelihood to them.
