Ten contestants selected for the grand finale of Ariya Repete, a talent hunt organised by Goldberg from the stables of Nigerian Breweries Plc, will slug it out at Trans Amusement Park, Ibadan, Oyo State today Friday July 21, 2017.

The semi-finals, held at MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun State last Friday, saw a display of talents from the artistes who were recently mentored on the rudiments of fuji and juju music at Ariya Repete Academy in Ijebu Ode. At the concert, the five fuji and five juju finalists expressed confidence of clinching the grand prize of N1 million and a recording deal on offer in each category.

Fuji artistes that qualified for the finals are Ajani Azeez, Onimama Fausia, Nasiu Onilewura, Omoyajowo Bukola and Abiodun Oloto; while those in the juju category are Leye Williams, Adekunle Oketayo, Adeniyi Temitope, Oshadare Yomi Bright and Yomi Johnson.

Expressing his joy for reaching the final, Ajani Azeez attributed his success to the mentoring sessions at Ariya Repete Academy. Leye Williams, who had the highest score in juju category at the semi-finals said though, he trained very hard, he prayed to reach the finals.
Speaking at the event, Public Affairs Manager, West/Midwest, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Tayo Adelaja, said he was pleased with the level of talent displayed by the artistes and that it showed they understood what they were taught at the Ariya Repete Academy and had put the knowledge into practice.
Also, Senior Brand Manager, Regional Mainstream Brands, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Funso Ayeni, stated that though the 20 artistes did well, the judges had to come up with the best 10 for the grand finale.
He charged the 10 artistes to put in their best at the final to stand a chance of clinching the grand prizes.
