Idoma Int’l carnival set for 10th edition

During the recently concluded press briefing,  the president of IDOMA international carnival who was represented by the CEO Danhausawa media Nigeria limited, Samaila Ogwuche reinstated that the carnival which marks its 10th anniversary in December, will continue to project the image of Idoma people positively to the rest of the world.

 

Ochai said this during a recent press parley to announce the 10th edition of the carnival which would hold between December 23 and 26 at Saint Mary Primary School, Otukpo.

 

According to the convener, aside from the fun fair and razzmatazz of the carnival, it is also important to show the world the Idoma culture and create avenue for international investment and tourism.

 

Speaking on some of the activities lined up at this years event, the organizers said “the carnival procession itself, football tournaments, ceremony where we give palliatives to widows, scholarship is also handed out and at the same time, we’re going to have bike parade from across the country. We have cultural troops from the north, Kano, Katsina, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Lagos and people will be coming all across the country and we’re excited looking for greatness.

 

It was also revealed that artistes including Terry G, Niniola, Portable and Harrysong will be performing at the carnival.
