Idowaz Technologies Ltd has opened up varieties of opportunities for Nigerians to explore to make ends meet even as the economy bites harder. The opportunities are in form of E-hailing couriers and other partnerships.

At a media brief in Lagos, the CEO/ founder of the company, Ernest Robinson, said the company aimed to make life easy for people by building an App that can serve different segments of the market with different services.

“Idowaz is a marketplace of multi-service and multi-app platforms, comprising 7 divisions viz: Idowazride mini mobility (E-Hailing), IdowazEat (Food ordering & delivery), Idowaz Courier(for deliveries including groceries), Idowaz Homecare(for homecare service i.e babysitting, laundry, cooking for events, cleaning, electricians, beauty salons, mechanics, tailoring etc), Idowaz Hotels (for online hotel bookings and shortlet stays booking etc), Idowaz Ridesharing, IdowaTaxi and Idowazpay(for online payment & money transfer round the clock and round the world. We have a separate App for Home Care and another separate App for Hotels and Travel. We have another division known as the Idowaz Pay,”

“We discovered that Taxi Riders in the e-hailing system are not been treated fairly i.e paying the right commissions and conditions. Some go as far as sleeping in their cars in order to feed themselves and family. With IDOWAZ, we offer our drivers two weeks of paid holiday after riding for a year. We also take 10% as a commission. We are coming to the market to serve the Nigerian logistics needs and Africa as a whole. 2023 is our expansion year.”

Idowaz boss affirmed that its Homecare service is one of our core products where its partners could go on Google or Apple Playstore and register their services, noting that one could become a Taxi partner by downloading the Idowaz driver App. More so, one could become a User by downloading the Idowaz User App on Google/ Apple Playstore.

Robinson revealed that Idowaz started as a result of the gap in the marketplace by making all the above services affordable and providing the right commissions to drivers and service providers, stressing that every one of its drivers earns 90% on every trip with two weeks paid holidays, same for its service providers in its homecare, food and courier deliveries division.

“All of our drivers and service providers are insured, for example, if a food delivery guy’s bike is stolen or tire punctured on the way and the food isn’t delivered, we compensate the dinner for the loss.

“Security is our top priority for our drivers, passengers and riders, we’ve SOS on our Apps which monitor drivers and riders for safety. We train our drivers, homecare service providers and riders on what to do when they feel they’re endangered and will alert us and alert the security authorities in Nigeria.

“For service providers, there’s terms and conditions which cover what they are permitted to do on the premises when delivering their services to our customers. All service providers, drivers and riders are properly vetted and background checked because once you sign up on our platform you must come for training where your documents are cross-checked and verified before we activate your account.

“We want to cover all States in Nigeria in the next 12 months and continue our international expansion to be in 100 to 150 countries in the next five years and then go public IPO, be listed in New York Exchange. Idowaz is here to serve and make life easier for everyone,” he assured.
