Former On-Air Personality, Ife Salako aka Ifektive has won the Youth Progressive Party(YPP) primary election for the Alimosho constituency House of Representatives ticket in the 2023 general election.
Salako won with 52 votes beating other aspirants to represent YPP in the coming elections.
Confirming his win, the Youth Progressive Party congratulated Salako via its official Instagram page.
“Comrade Ife Salako Adedayo is returned selected as the candidate for House Of Rep, Alimosho Federal Constituency,” the post reads.
On his win, the former OAP and Businessman showed gratitude to his team and the party executives.
“Considering the recent events surrounding how great and truly compassionate aspirants lose primary elections to less qualified aspirants, I am most grateful to God and my formidable team for making this happen. I also want to specially thank the Lagos YPP Executive for making sure the primary elections go hitch-free. I am really grateful but more excited about what will unfold in the days ahead,” said Salako.
He also urged his constituents to get their Permanent Voters Cards as the elections draws near.
“There are a few political parties in Nigeria with crystal clear ideology and focus on achieving a truly transformed Nigeria, the Young Progressives Party (YPP) is one of such parties. The drive and commitment to sourcing innovative candidates without greed show that the party is set to lead Nigeria to the right destination and give unwavering support to its candidates.
“YPP is expanding in structure exponentially and this is to the benefit of its candidates which I am one of them. Aside from the structural expansion, the party is tirelessly working on strategies that will help candidates like myself win in the coming general elections.
“As regards the constituents, one of the major ways they could help is to make sure they have their PVC and equally important is for them to believe in the strength of our electoral system and laws.
“Many of our constituents still assume votes don’t count. We have been going around trying to reorientate them in this regard and to convince them that vote now counts and they should take this message everywhere they go.
“My victory at the coming general elections is a victory for the Nigerian youth proving to everyone that we can challenge and conquer this mundane and regressive political class we have in Nigeria presently.
“With this in mind, I have no choice but to be absolutely transparent, innovative, creative and deliver on every of my mandate some of which we have made available on www.ifesalako.com.
