A new Divisional Police Officer (DPO) has assumed duties in Ifo Police Station Command in Ogun State. He is Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Abiodun Ayinde. The new DPO took over from CSP Kehinde Kuranga who has been moved to Adamawa State. Ayinde, who resumed office on Sunday, July 10, 2022, was met with officers of the police command.

The new Ifo police boss was formally at the Ogere Police Command, where he spent over two years as DPO.

Addressing the Ifo police officers after his resumption, Ayinde admonished them to work harder on the area of security and protection of lives and property in the community.

He warned hoodlums to desist from devilish behaviours, while those already arrested were transferred to the Police Head Office, Elewe Eran, Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, for further interrogation over their misdeeds.

He, also, charged others to maintain peace in the community. He, however, appealed to community leaders in Ifo township to support the police officers on the task ahead.
