A People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Igbo group, Ndigbo in Lagos4Lagos has pledged their support to one of the governorship aspirants of the party, Dr Olajide Adediran , aka Jandor and to Chief Francis Batholomew Chima, aka ‘Omobarca’ who is aspiring to represent Ajeromi Ifelodun Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives in 2023.

The group made the.decision to throw their weight behind Adediran and Chima known at a political gathering and award giving ceremony held at Awodiora in Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area in honour of Chief Chima’.

Speaking at  the event, the convener, Pastor Patrick Madu said the Igbo choice for Chima, was well conceived by members of the group due to his care and development of the area, even before he joined partisan politics.

He explained that since Chima joined PDP, he has shown the qualities of Goodwill, progress, total commitment and service to humanity.

Madu who bestowed an award to Chima for his contributions and developmental strides on behalf of his group, said  the aspirant has all it takes to win, both the primary and general elections. “He is an aspirant to beat, and we see him as , ‘A face of victory’ in Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area, Lagos State.”

He also informed that the group is garnering support for the PDP gubernatorial aspirant in Lagos State, Dr Adediran (Jandor) because he is sent by God to help heal the wounds of PDP in the state. “PDP in Lagos State has suffered a lot of setbacks. We have been winning elections in the past, but we’re denied the opportunity to be in government. Now, God has heard our cries by bringing a dynamic young man who has the wisdom and other qualities that are needed in governance.”

Madu noted that the choice of Adediran was due to his good political dispositions and commitment.

One of the leaders of Ndigbo in Lagos4Lagos, Evang Ndubuisi Alex Nwachukwu said that God positioned Adediran to redeem PDP due to his experience. “Jandor was in APC and he knows the game. And, being an Awori man who plays good politics, he stands a better chance of winning the election for PDP.

He assured that Ndigbo, in their large numbers and voting capacity, will support PDP to win Lagos State in the forthcoming election. “Ndigbo are already mobilizing to make a difference in the coming election and we are very serious about it.”

Responding, Chief Francis Batholomew Chima expressed gratitude for the great honour given to him by the Ndigbo in Lagos4Lagos PDP group.

He also expressed that people could be watchful and observant  enough to see the good work he has been doing in the society, especially Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area, Lagos State.

“I feel honoured today for the award given to me by this group. In fact, I didn’t know that people were watching what I have been doing. After all, I am not the only Igbo Reps aspirant in PDP. We are three, but they chose me. Their gesture shows that there is winning on my side.”

Chima told the people that his journey to represent the people of Ajeromi Ifelodun at the Abuja green chamber is to change the narratives and bring a new face to the constituency. “I have been in the business of empowering people, to alleviate poverty, and I will do more if given the opportunity to serve at the House of Representatives. I will also fight for the rights of my constituents and give them more sense of belonging.”

The aspirant promised to carry everyone along and ensure that peace reigns in the party, irrespective of differences. “In fact, I will bring whatever that is due for my people , and they will never regret sending me to serve them at Abuja.”
