The Enugu indegenes resident in Kogi State have felicitated with governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on the 30 years anniversary of the creation of Enugu State and said they were proud of his achievements
In a press statement issued after an emergency meeting and signed by the leader of the group , Chief Joseph Anikwe, it said the creation of Enugu State has in no small measures attracted great socio economic transformation of the coal city
Chief Anikwe who applauded past governors and administrators in the state said Enugu is a pride to the people of south east and indeed to the people of Nigeria
He commended governor Ugwuanyi for giving a level playing ground to all segments of the state to thrive irrespective of party affiliations or zone they come from and stressed that this has actually promoted peace and orderliness in the state.
While urging the governor not to depart from the dreams and aspirations of the founding fathers , chief Anikwe appeals to the governor not to relent in giving equal opportunities to all the zones in the state
He also called on the people of the state to shun any form of violence and give maximum support to the governor so that he could deliver the needed democracy dividends.
