From Godwin Tsa, Abuja

Hearing in the extradition trial of detained Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Igboho has been shifted to Friday by Court D’Appeal in Cotonou, Republic of Benin.

The development came as the Federal Ministry of Justice on Thursday said it has no information about the planned arraignment and trial.

It was reported that Igboho, who was arrested alongside his German wife, Ropo, where taken to court for a scheduled extradition trial.

Igboho was arrested in Cotonou with his German wife, Ropo, while trying to travel out of the country.

But competent source at the Federal Ministry of Justice told Daily Sun that the ministry was yet to be brief on the development.

“There is no information yet on the development. People have been calling and sending text messages but there is no information on it yet. If there is information, everybody will get to know, ” the source explained.

However, according to agency report, the Igboho’s who were taken to court earlier today, were however returned to to cell in Benin Republic, after court proceedings were adjourned to Friday, July 23.
