Odion Ighalo has ended speculation about his future after completing a transfer to Chinese Super League side, Shanghai Greenland Shenhua from Changchun Yatai.

Changchun Yatai from the Chinese topflight, and he was heavily courted by clubs in Turkey before deciding to continue his career in China as the interested teams failed to meet his wage demands.

Ighalo will reunite with his former Watford coach Quique Sánchez Flores at Shanghai Greenland Shenhua, who had been in the market for a proven goalscorer after Demba Ba terminated his contract by mutual consent a month ago.

Ighalo has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with Shanghai Greenland Shenhua, which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2021 season.

Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Changchun Yatai will pocket 15 million euros (approximately N6.09 billion) from the transfer of Ighalo and two Chinese players on the books of Shanghai Greenland Shenhua were used as makeweight in the deal, meaning they will move in the opposite direction.

For the upcoming season, Ighalo, who started training with his new teammates on Thursday, will wear the number nine jersey.
