Odion Ighalo scored one of the goals as his Saudi Arabia Professional Football League club, Al Hilal recorded a crucial 3-1 victory over Al Batin.
The win kept champion, Al Hilal within striking distance of leader, Al Nassr.
The club is third on the table with 20 points from nine matches, two points behind the leaders.
The former Manchester United hitman scored in the 79th minute to give his side a 2-1 lead. This was after he missed a penalty in the 45th minute.
Ighalo has now scored five goals in nine games this season. He was Goal King of the Saudi league last season.
