The police chief directed the forces to focus on ending the renewed wave of clashes in some of the communities in the state.

He also mandated the team to ensure that all perpetrators of violence in Southern Kaduna are flushed out and peace restored in the area.

Idris’ directive was contained in a statement issued by the commissioner of police for Kaduna state Agyole Abeh.

Abeh said an aerial surveillance team has also been directed to monitor the area in order to detect criminal’s movement especially on remote farm settlements.

He said the IGP has reiterated the Nigeria Police Force commitment to ensuring security in South Kaduna and Nigeria as whole.

He said: “The Force is, therefore, determined to deal decisively with any person or group of persons who are either engaged or found to be fueling the amber of discord among the peace loving people of Kaduna State as they will be made to face the full wrath of the law.

“Finally, the Force also adviced law abiding citizens to be watchful and to report any suspicious movements or activities that are likely to tamper with the peaceful atmosphere of the environment to the police and other security agencies,” Abeh said.
