- Sends UCL warning signal to Real Madrid

NIGERIAN teenage international, Kelechi Iheanacho was literally on fire yesterday as he banged in a brace against Stoke City in the English Premiership, a feat that saw his team Manchester City winning at home by 4-2.
Iheanacho’s performance was no doubt a clear warning signal to star studded Real Madrid ahead of Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League semi final showdown. City is billed to host Real in the first leg of the Europe money spinning competition, with the return leg billed for the Bernabeu.
Iheanacho who saw 90 minutes of action in yesterday’s game, struck in the 64th and 74th minutes to the admiration of City fans. Fernando had shot City into the lead in the 35th minute while Sergio Aguero made it two from the spot in 43rd minute.
It would be noted that City’s handler, Manuel Pellegrini had only on Friday last week identified Iheanacho as one of the three Manchester City’s academy products who can force their way into Pep Guardiola’s plans for next season. According to reports monitored on Manchestereveningnews.com, Pellegrini will be long gone when the current generation breaks through – but he is convinced there are players within the system who can emerge under Guardiola with Kelechi being one of them.
