Former governor of Imo State Emeka Ihedioha and former deputy governor Eze Madumere have felicitated with the family of Ebere Udeagu who was also a former deputy governor of the state over his death.

Ihedioha and Madumere in a separate statement by their media aides, Chibuike Onyeukwu and Uche Onwuchekwa respectively described Udeagu as a gentleman.

According to Ihedioha “He was a gentleman par excellence, who in his lifetime, demonstrated a high-level dignity and patriotism in the various offices and high positions he served our dear State.

“While he served as Deputy Governor, his loyalty to his boss, His Excellency, Chief Achike Udenwa, former Governor of Imo State and dedication to duty, remain indelible and indeed a positive reference for public servants,” Ihedioha stated.

Madumere on his own part said “While in Office, he visited a number of times where we had memorable discussions laced with wise counsels.

“His Excellency, late Engr Udeagu, has cult-like followership. This is so because he touched lives positively and gave Achike Udenwa all the support he needed to succeed.”
