IKA Germany (IKA Industrie – und Kraftfahrzeugausrüstung GmbH), a leading global player in the automotive aftermarket spare parts supplies, with customers in over 70 countries across five continents, has announced that it would be participating in the first Kaduna Automotive Spare Parts Exhibition and Stakeholders Conference.
The events are scheduled to hold in Kaduna, the Kaduna State capital, from October 4 to 7, 2017.
The company explained that it would be using the exhibition being organised by Routes and Roads Nigeria Limited as a platform to launch out to the northern Nigerian market with the GeBe range of products, including its newly-introduced made-in-Germany GeBe premium water pumps for a wide range of vehicles.
The German automotive aftermarket spare parts supplier has, therefore, directed its Authorised GeBe Trader and Agent in Nigeria and the rest of West Africa, Auto Report Africa, the Pan Africa automotive media agency, to commence preparations for the participation of the company at the exhibition.
Confirming IKA Germany’s participation in the Kaduna Autoparts Expo in October, the Managing Editor, Auto Report Africa, Olaolu Olusina, disclosed that the company would be showcasing GeBe range of products and the newly-introduced made-in-Germany premium water pumps for a wide range of vehicles.
“I can confirm authoritatively that IKA Germany is ready for the Kaduna Autoparts exhibition. Our marketing boxes for the exhibition have already been despatched from Germany and they should be here early this week. That is to show the importance IKA Germany attaches to the expo and the Nigerian market, “Olusina said. “ Auto Report Africa is not only taking IKA Germany to Kaduna, we are also going there as an official media partner of the exhibition.”
Mr. Geoffrey Faasema, Managing Director / CEO, Routes and Roads Nigeria Limited, organisers of the first Kaduna Autoparts Exhibition and Stakeholders Conference, also confirmed the participation of the German company at the exhibition, describing it as a boost to the event.
“We are glad and happy that IKA Germany, a global player, is participating in the exhibition which is fully backed by the National Automotive Development and Design Council (NADDC). We are also discussing with another company from Turkey. This is a real boost to our preparations and we hereby call on other companies, both locally and internationally, to key into the vision for the growth of the automotive industry,” Faasema said.
The participation by the German company is part of its efforts to fully launch into the West African markets and is also coming at a time many German companies are planning to return to Nigeria because of the current administration’s hard stance on corruption.
