From David Onwuchekwa, Nnewi

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate to represent Nnewi North constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly come 2023, Hon Eloka Ike has named good roads and proper refuse management system in Nnewi as among the dividends he would attract, if elected.

He said that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ruling governement in Anambra had not been fair to Nnewi in terms of road infrastructure. He noted that Nnewi which generated huge revenues for the State from its industrial and commercial activities should be given proper attention it deserved.

Ike expressed displeasure that there was no proper refuse management system in Nnewi which is recognized as an urban area but treated like a rural community by the State governement, according to him.

“Nnewi is being treated like a rural community. I cannot be a House of Assembly member representing my constituency without giving the account of the constituency funds, no Town Hall meetings and no consultations. That is a disappointment.

“I’m going there for effective representation to make a difference in line with my mantra, “Ifediche” (something different) in this election project. My people are tired of disappointments, ” he insisted.
