The Action Alliance (AA) candidate for Ohaji/Egbema, Oru west and Oguta in Imo State, Kingsley Uju, has dismissed an allegation that he has double candidacy with the Democratic Alliance (DA) party and the AA party.

Briefing newsmen on Thursday, Uju described the allegation as the handiwork of his political detractors who were afraid of his rise in politics.

He maintained that the National Chairman of DA had apologised to him over the mix-up.

He noted that “what happened was that my political detractors manipulated and manufactured the whole story; I am a full-fledged member of AA and INEC is aware and has dully cleared me for Saturday’s election.

“My political enemies are afraid of me and that is why they are using the disqualification rumour to do their own campaign; I have given over 1,600 youths various empowerment and that is why I am popular; they know it,” Uju said.
