The 6th annual conference of Impact Mission Initiative (IMI), a Non-Governmental Organization established to address the societal challenges faced by youths and less privileged across Africa, holds today, Saturday October 8, at Oriental Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Convened by Victor Cletus with the theme: “African Leadership & Economic Development: The Gaps, Opportunities and Way Forward”, the event will have as keynote speaker, Prof. P.L.O Lumumba, a renowned lawyer and Pan-Africanist, alongside Dr. Rose Oriaran-Anthony, Secretary to  INEC and Pastor Umo Eno, gubernatorial candidate of Peoples Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom State.

The chairman of the occasion is Prince Yemisi Shyllon, chairman, Museum Supervisory Council of the Yemisi Shyllon Museum Art, while activities  will include award presentation to some prominent Africans and institutions that have created a niche for themselves in the society.

According to Victor Cletus, IMI’s Vision centers on preparing and nurturing the African youths for good  leadership and caring for the less privileged in the  society.

“Our mission statement is, ‘To be a tool for the teeming youths in realising their purpose in life thereby becoming economically empowered and philanthropically minded,” he added.
