This was contained in a signed statement by the Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido and issued to newsmen in Abuja, yesterday. He said: “The Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (retd) congratulates Nigerians at home and abroad on the commemoration of this year’s independence anniversary.
“He assures Nigerians that government is working assiduously to put in place various palliative measures to cushion effects of the current economic challenges.
