In line with its social responsibility objective to support exemplary accomplishments of children who have shown courage in astonishing situations, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Indomie, rewarded 10 kids with N5.25 million.
Speaking at the firm’s 10th anniversary of the Indomie Independence Day Awards (IIDA) in Lagos, Group Managing Director, Dufil Prima Foods, Deepak Singhal, explained that the company has been able to sustain the IIDA initiative over the years owing to its commitment to impact positively in the lives of nation’s consumers and most importantly the children who represent the future.
“As a company, we have sustained this initiative over the years owing to our commitment to continuously impact positively on the lives of our consumers most importantly the children who represent the future. Now marking a decade, IIDA stands to identify and celebrate 10 great children who have displayed an unmatched physical, intellectual and social bravery in the face of hazards and unfavourable conditions.”
“it is all in a bid to encourage and inspire more those who would tomorrow hold various leadership positions in our dear country and I am extremely proud of everything we’ve achieved in the last 10 years with IIDA. Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) credentials is an important part of our company’s DNA. It’s critical to who we are and what we stand for”, he said.
Corroborating, Chief Operating Officer, Dufil Prima Foods, Girish Sharma, said that a significant part of the Company’s CSR is its engagement with the public, adding that celebrating 10 winners, Nigerians will understand the capabilities and value of children in the society.
In her goodwill message, the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Senator Aisha Alhassan, commended Dufil Prima Foods on its decision to recognise and award children gifted with intellectual ability and those that fought against societal challenges, adding that the awards will go a long way in shaping their lives as well as inspire other children in the country.
