“We have deployed enough security operatives in all the council areas including the gunmen trouble LGAs”, she said.

Reacting to the report of the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) reportedly found in the bush by a hunter in Nnewi, the REC said that investigation was ongoing on the matter and that the public would be given the right information on it after the investigation.

She said that Anambra has over 2.5 million registered voters for the 2023 general elections and that polls would not hold in six out of 5,720 polling units in the state because of zero registration in the affected units.

“So, I am assuring you, the mouthpiece of the society, that INEC in Anambra under my watch is fully ready for the election and with the enough security operatives deployed for the exercise, nothing will pose as a challenge to the smooth conduct of the process.

“I appeal to Anambra electorate to come out en-masse and vote for candidates of their choice”, Agwu added.
