Ify, a student at the National Open University Nigeria (NOUN), Owerri, Imo State, maintains sexual relationships with a few men. But the truth is that they do not give her the real desires of her heart. She is only following them because they pay her bills.
Ify finds pleasure in the bosom of fellow women. For her, men are, at best, to be used and dumped. She is a lesbian.
But Ify is not alone. Stella, a student of Lagos State University (LASU) is in the same boat. Although she sleeps with both men and women, she also feels better in the arms of fellow women. She told this reporter: “A lady kissed me at a party and I liked it. That was how it began. It’s totally different from the guys. Moreover, it is the in-thing now. You can catch your fun anytime with the girls.”
Investigations revealed that lesbianism is increasing in leaps and bounds. In fact, it is commonplace to see married women dating even in this clime. Age is not a barrier. Neither is social status an issue.
According to Wikipedia, “lesbianism is the sexual and romantic desire between females.” In some climes, lesbianism is viewed as a worse crime than adultery between a male and female. Someone described it as “wild and lawless” love. But it is booming as it were. Psychologists say it is a product of Same Sex Attraction/Relational Disorder (SSARD)
Breeding ground
It is believed that same-sex schools are breeding ground of same-sex relationships. Because the students in all-girls secondary schools do not have boys to toast them or engage in sexual activities with, they look inward and make do with what they have, so to say.
Going down memory lane, Gloria told this reporter: “When my senior in secondary school started flirting with me, I found it odd. But I later found out that most of the girls had partners. As they say, if you can’t beat them you join them. The best part of it is that you won’t entertain any fear about pregnancy. We used to call it supe.”
While lesbianism is booming in tertiary institutions, some ladies’ groups and beauty parlours are equally veritable recruitment grounds. There, ladies of like minds meet and flock together. Two, they are never interested in issues of heterogeneous relationships. Thirdly, they are too busy with religious, academic and professional issues. They don’t go out for leisure. These are the simple signals to look out for. They are extremely shy towards same-sex. They can look at opposite sex without issues. But homosexuals cannot look straight into members of the same-sex. They isolate themselves and feel odd most times.”
And to get maximum satisfaction, they use artificial means to stimulate or attain sexual fulfillment or excitement. Some use sex toys. Some use such fruits as cucumber.
Position of law
From time immemorial, it is regarded as an aberration for men and women to go into sexual relationship against the order of nature. Sodom and Gomorrah was punished for that in the Bible.
In May 2013, the Same-sex Marriage Prohibition Act was passed by the National Assembly but former President Goodluck Jonathan signed it into law on January 13, 2014. The law criminalizes homosexual or gay organizations, societies and clubs, with penalties of up to 14 years imprisonment. Stoning to death is the maximum punishment in northern states that have adopted Sharia law.

When you feel like having sex or you feel like satisfying yourself, you do it with your girl instead of having a boyfriend and they end up disappointing you.

No, I don’t do that.
How do you operate?
If your boy friend’s friend comes and he needs a girl, you can call me over. We do that for each other. Sometimes, my friends and I will go to birthday parties or nightclubs and I can meet a guy there provided he can foot my bill. I don’t just go and stand somewhere like that. It will spoil my image and prestige.
How much do you charge?
It depends on the time. If it is 12am, I’ll ask for N20,000. But if it is around 4.00am, I’ll take N10,000. I’ll leave around 6.00am.
