The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has unveiled  its organogram, for the constitution of a proposed Biafra State.

IPOB said the proposed executive arm of the government  would be headed by a prime minister.

According to the constitution, the state national legislature comprised of Anang, Efik, Idoma/Igede, Ala-Igbo, Isoko, Izon, Urhobo, Anioma-Igbo, Ibibio, Igala, Ikwere-Igbo, Itesekiri and Ogoni  will be headed by a premier and a cabinet for the nation, while the district assembly, administrator, major and council would be under it.

The group’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, who made the organogram available to newsmen, yesterday, said IPOB “wanted to let the people of Biafra and the entire world know the type of government and organogram of government to be run.”

He noted that Biafra parliament would be headed by the prime minister (executive) and directorate of states while the office of the president would be manned by the president, chamber of deputies, traditional rulers and elders.

The judiciary, according to the chart, would be a constitutional court (apex court), appellate court (appeal court), court of justice (high court), (civil, family, criminal) as well as common law court (magistrate court).

Powerful also added that there would be 17 directorates of natural resource control, agriculture, industry, defence,  interior, justice employment, foreign affairs, education, energy, transportation, finance, health, homeland security, economic planning, culture and tradition and veterans affairs while there would be 87 independent establishments and government corporations. This is to inform the people that government will never cheat any body in  Biafra.

“The organogram stipulates the directorates, commissions and agencies in the new government will be part of  the constitution of the Biafra government. More are still coming,” he stated.

Meanwhile,  leader of Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB-BIM) in Enugu North Zone of Enugu State, Chief James Omeke said the pro-Biafra group has begun recruitment of new members across the zone.

He said there is a renewed interest among members and agitations in the country on possible dissolution of Nigeria which will automatically give birth to Biafra.

Omeke stated this yesterday while fielding questions from newsmen in Enugu after kick starting recruitment drive of new members at Uzo-Uwani.

He noted that the drive enabled them to revive moribund regions as well as sensitise people on how MASSOB planned actualising their sovereignty through non- violent agitations.

He said the regional administrator of Uzo-Uwani, Ichie Timothy Obetta and other members reached out to all non-members in Uzo-Uwani region, using local languages to create more awareness on MASSOB-BIM.

He said MASSOB is delighted that the aim of the mobilisation which is to enable more people join MASSOB BIM was fruitful.

“We told them that our national leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike had taken the matter up to the  United Nations (UN), intimating them of his plans to carve out Biafra from Nigerian.

“The mobilisation of new members witnessed large turnout of people from various areas, we orientated our new members on why MASSOB-BIM remained non confrontational in its struggle, we told the people how we intend actualizing Biafra without a single gunshot.

“Our message to them is Biafra, our weapon, is non-violence,” he stressed.

On his elevation to the position of the leader of MASSOB-BIM in the zone, Omeke thanked Chief Ralph Uwazuruike for the opportunity giving him to lead the group in the zone.

Omeke said his new role would make him redouble his efforts and enable him work tirelessly to bring more members into the fold.

He said he believes in the ability of Chief Uwazuruike to deliver Biafra to the Igbo and called on all Igbo sons and daughters to close ranks and give all necessary to MASSOB-BIM to actualise their freedom.

“This is to inform the people that the government will never cheat any body in  Biafra. The organigram stipulates the directorates, commissions and agencies in the new government and this will be part of  the constitution of the Biafra government. More are still coming,” he stated.
