Even as it is few hours to the sit-at-home order given by the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) to the people people in the South east to stay in their homes on May 31, majority of the residents of Imo State showed total compliance ahead by remaining indoors on Saturday.

Most of the markets were scanty even the major roads as well as schools did not open.

Our correspondent who went round major crowdy place in Owerri observed that there were partial opening of business premises while few commercial vehicles were seen plying the road.

The ever busy Douglas and Mbaise road
were quiet as a grave yard but with water tight security.

But the situation is slightly different from Naze, Aba road where the security Security agents flooded the entire State. The military presence in the area according to a source was as a result of alleged attack of some security operatives in the area.

The alleged attack according to a source prompted an indiscriminate arrest by the security operatives and barricading of the Naze/Aba road forcing commuters to stay several hours on the congested roads.

Although as at the time of this report it was alleged that some people were wounded at the troubled area. But the Police Spokesperson ,Bala Elkana could not be reached to confirm the report as he failed to answer calls put through to his phone line.

Similarly, Gunmen were on rampage on Saturday as they raze Atta Divisional Police Headquarters in the Njaba Local Government Area of the State.

Sunday Sun also learnt that the hoodlums at about 1 am proceeded to the Atta Magistrate and High Court and burnt it,even the community’s health Center was said to have been vandalised.

A reliable source from the community disclosed that the Invaders shot sporadically for about an hour before torching the Government owned facilities.
