In a press release issued by Press Secretary to Governor Abubakar, Mallam Abubakar Al-Sadique, Yuguda called on all well-meaning Nigerians to make their contributions in ensuring that the cause charted by the APC was pursued beyond 2019.

“As an economist, I know that given the economic crunch in our country from 2015, President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar have performed commendably,” Yuguda was quoted as saying.

He said that his supporters have formally joined the APC and were ready to “offer the best expected of us to take the party at all levels, from the presidency to the local government level, to victory.”

While welcoming the former governor into the ruling party, Governor Abubakar, commended what he called Yuguda’s “bold decision to join the progressives’ family,” noting that the state needs the experience of Yuguda.

Governor Abubakar assured that his administration will carry the former governor and his supporters along, particularly in campaigning for the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari and other APC candidates seeking elective office in 2019.
