The ISACA Ibadan Chapter has emerged winner of the 2023 ISACA Innovative Chapter Program Award – Community Engagement for your 2021 Community Day Program billed for May next year in the US.

This is also coming as the ISACA Ibadan Chapter Educational Director, Mr Wole Davis, clinched the 2023 ISACA Outstanding Chapter Leader Award in the US.

This was announced in a letter issued on Tuesday, November 22 by the ISACA community, congratulating the Ibadan Chapter as the recipient of the 2023 ISACA Innovative Chapter Program Award – Community Engagement for your 2021 CommuniTy Day Program.

This award recognises an outstanding program implemented within an ISACA chapter in the areas of Member Experience, Community Engagement, Education or Use of Technology.

According to the organisation, a group of experienced chapter leaders reviewed all nominations and selected the Ibadan chapter as an honoree. “The bar has been set high with your achievements,” it commended.

“We are inspired by your accomplishments, and we are thrilled to recognise the positive impact your chapter has had within our community,” the letter read in part.

Meanwhile, the ISACA Outstanding Chapter Leader Award in the US recognises ISACA Chapter Leaders for their effective and inspiring leadership within the chapter resulting in increased member engagement and a positive impact on ISACA’s professional community.

Addressed to Davis, the letter read in part, “We are pleased to recognise you among only five Outstanding Chapter Leader Award recipients in 2023.

“A group of experienced chapter leaders reviewed all nominations and selected you as an honoree. The bar has been set high with your achievements.”

The Ibadan Chapter will be celebrated with the entire ISACA community at an in-person presentation and celebration during the Digital Trust World Conference in Boston, Massachusetts, USA in May 2023 where he will receive both awards.

In his reaction, the president of ISACA Ibadan Chapter, Mr Ayokunle Omonijo expressed gratitude. “I thank God for winning two awards in three categories. This is coming after the chapter won the K. Wayne Snipes international award for the Best Small Chapter in Africa in 2015 and 2016 in the US.

“I  appreciate all the support of the Board of Directors (BOD) and members of the Great ISACA Ibadan Chapter.”
