Merry Christmas everyone! I am sure you all are having a great time. It is an interesting time for me and the girls and preparations are in top gear for my Dad’s birthday. Yes ‘the young man’ Chief S.W Anaughe, is 90! Wow even I can’t believe this.

I am grateful to God for his life, my Mum’s life and the way he has raised my brothers and sisters. We met at Jasmine’s House the next day as agreed, Jasmine decided the suitable ‘punishment’ for Kaycee is for us all to visit a Karaoke Bar on Friday and boy was it crazy. It turned out to also be a striptease club! Kaycee maintained a stoic silence all through, determined to endure whatever was thrown at her without complaining, impressive if you ask me.

I wasn’t comfortable with the whole setting but I refrained from rushing to my friend’s aid so I don’t embarrass her and she earns the respect of the girls. Kaycee was also made to do a song, thank God she was allowed to choose and she did a Whitney Houston.

All three of them; Jasmine, Bola and Zara did a number at the dancing pole while Kaycee and I looked on. To be frank I was glad when the evening was over. It was all a bit too much for me especially when Zara took the microphone and screamed “merry f*cking Christmas all” I don’t know who was more shocked; Kaycee or myself.

Thank God the evening is over and we can finally put to rest the issue with Kaycee. As you all may have guessed Zara declared it the best night ever. That girl is crazy! I and the girls were invited by Dennis for an all-expense paid pre-Christmas Hang out at Olumo Rock in Abeokuta, Ogun State, it was beautiful.

We were shown around by a Tour Guide and we climbed to the peak using the ancient way, only for the adventurous. Do you know there are caves under the Rock? The Rock is so massive, the inhabitants, the Egba people concluded that only God could have built such and it became known as Olumo ‘built by the Lord’.

The Rock is sacred in Abeokuta history as the place where the first settlers found refuge from their attackers. If you are yet to visit Olumo Rock, make sure you do. Ok guys, enough history lessons. “Tobs, where are you? Are you still in bed?” I heard Jasmine ask Wednesday morning after our return from Abeokuta as she barged into my room as usual.

She gave my life size teddy a withering look as she walked past my bed to where I was sitting at my work station by a corner of my room. I had been up since dawn. “Tobs, I thought you were done with work for the year?” Jasmine asked glancing down disapprovingly at the documents on my table and various files that were open. “I got a distress call from the elder Sister of an abused woman who is a Banker. Apparently she had been enduring abuse in the hands of her husband for the past 5 years.

Now after 4 miscarriages as a result of beating and finally giving birth to a boy with medical issues; her beast of a husband beat her black and blue again barely 5 days after delivery. With post-delivery depression and an unhappy home, coupled with incessant beatings from her husband, the said girl is on admission at the Psychiatric hospital.

She has lost her mind!” I finished heavily with a sigh. “Are you kidding me? So what are you going to do?” Jasmine asked in concern. “I hope he goes to jail and ruts there! Do you know how many women are in Psychiatric Hospitals because of the men in their life? This is really pathetic!” Jasmine hissed angrily. “Jasmine it’s the festive season, my priority is the lady getting better, thank God she and her baby are out of harm’s way.

We will deal with him.” I said decisively. At Warien Rose Foundation we ‘eat’ people like him for breakfast!

Have a merry Christmas.
