Meanwhile, the Leader of Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) Mr. Uchenna Madu has hailed the people for complying with the sit-at-home order declared by IPOB for the restoration of Biafra.
“MASSOB gladly salutes the people of Biafra for their love, confidence and trust bestowed on IPOB, MASSOB and other Biafra agitating groups, the effect of today’s civil disobedience further proved that MASSOB and  IPOB are m ajor factors to be reckons with in the affairs of Ndigbo and Nigeria in general.
“MASSOB demands for the immediate and unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Benjamin Onwuka, Chidiebere Onwudiwe and other detained pro-Biafra agitators in Nigerian prisons mostly in Onitsha and Awka. The more these Biafran Jews are detained, Nigeria will continue to experience economic, political and diplomatic problem that will always cripple her system of existence”.
In his reaction, the spokesman of IPOB, Emma Powerful said the protest was successful in all the states and major cities across the South East zone and over 100 countries around the world in solidarity with the agitation for the release of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
He said “because of time zone differences. we confirmed that the order held in Canada,  USA, Brazil, Trinidad and Tobago, St Kitts, Jamaica,
Mexico, Venezuela, Ecuador and Bahamas, most of the South American continent are part of the worldwide protest against the continued detention of our leader prophet Nnamdi Kanu and for the restoration of God’s nation, Biafra. Over 90 countries in the world were part of the worldwide protest
