Everton defenders Conor Coady and James Tarkowski are convinced that Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi is the most skillful player at Goodison Park.

Following an excellent start to the league campaign, Iwobi has been one of the most consistent performers for Everton.

The Nigeria international has contributed seven goals to the Everton cause, including two goals and five assists.

Iwobi’s assist haul makes him one of the Premier League’s most effective goal-creators, behind only Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne on the assist chart.

The former Arsenal man was at his best at the weekend, providing two assists in the 3-0 demolition of Crystal Palace.

The second assist for Everton’s third goal was a thing of beauty, a cheeky back heel to set up a simple finish for McNeil.

Iwobi’s brilliance has Coady and Tarkowski convinced that no one at the club has the skill set the Nigerian playmaker possesses.

During BBC’s Honesty Cards, Coady posed to Tarkowski: “Most skillful player at the club?” In response, Tarkowski said, “I’ve got a few.” However, Coady was forthright, “Only one for me,” with his centre-back partner attempting to guess, “Alex.” “Yeah,” said Coady.

Iwobi has assisted five of Everton’s last seven goals to underline his importance to Frank Lampard’s side.
