For 28-year-old Nigerian serial entrepreneur Judith Chinenye Edega, better known as Jaysplash20 she was inspired into entertainment business to fulfil her long dream to put smiles on people’s faces as they struggle through the different difficult phases of life.

“The spice Entertainment adds to our daily lives can’t be overemphasized; it adds flavour to the human existence they may otherwise be distasteful. In my observations, I have noticed that entertainment helps us push through daily. It offers both momentary and long-lasting escape from unfavourable life happenings. Else life becomes very dull and boring. Entertainment is the flower vase at the centre of the table, the cherry that beautifies the cake. My all-time dream is to see smiles on people’s faces as they phase out their depression when they encounter contents from the stable of my entertainment hub. It’s important to also state that money is my motivation so of course the ROI on the entertainment business is also inspiring,” she told Sun News.
Jaysplash20, an Enugu State indigene reveres the likes of Ubi Franklin (MD/CEO Made Men Music and Management Limited), Mo Abudu (CEO EbonyLife), Audu Maikori (Founder- Chocolate City Group), and other renowned entertainment tycoons.
Multi-talented Jaysplash20 is also of the notion that Nigeria’s economy is not favorable to entertainment entrepreneurs, but she looks toward to a better industry.
“We all know the deplorable state of Nigeria’s economy. Besides the entertainment industry in Nigeria isn’t getting good support from the government, no rule of law to strengthen, support or uphold our value system but as God will have it the world has gone digital over the years so the proceeds from the digital space is really going a long way to keep us in business,” she stated.
Despite the emergence of COVID-19, Jaysplash20 is not relenting on her set goals for 2020. She had planned expansion, diversifying and taking over as part of her next moves.
“Sadly, the emergence of the deadly coronaVirus has really made me halt some of these plans while we further see how event unfolds and get more familiar with the new normal emanating from this our new realities,” she noted.
