An intrepid criminal defense lawyer, Jeff Chukwuma left no one in doubt that he would make a mark in private practice when he founded the Chukwuma Law Group barely two years ago.

This was after he quit as an Assistant State Attorney for Florida’s 17th Judicial Circuit. Presently,he is making an impact with his firm, Chukwuma Law Group,  which specializes mostly in criminal defense and personal injury cases.

During his time as a prosecutor at the Broward County State Attorney’s Office, he rose to prominence in his handling of a wide-ranging criminal cases of which he prosecuted over 50 to verdict.

Many hoped he would follow through the public service trajectory and hopefully crown it with a future District Attorney appointment.

However,  the Chukwuma Law Group founder had his mind set on private practice right from the onset of his career as he made clear in a recent interview where he said: “I always knew eventually after working as a prosecutor at the Broward County State Attorney’s Office that I wanted to start my law firm. It was simply a matter of time. I had to put in the work, pay my dues, and get my experience to make sure I was prepared to deliver value to my clients in private practice. ”

On the other hand, he may have been motivated to go into private practice by his mother.

He said:” My mother is my biggest outside influence who is a criminal defense attorney with her own practice. Growing up and even now, I can see how she runs her business and is there for her clients. It’s beyond inspirational. ”

His plan for the Chukwuma Law Group, he said, is to make it” the best law firm in South Florida.”
