Reports coming in indicate that politician Buba Galadima has been arrested in Abuja by officers of the Directortate of State Security (DSS).
Galadima, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and frontman of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), has been a prominent critic of President Muhammadu Buhari since he fell out with the party leadership in 2018.
Galadima is a spokesman of PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar’s campaign organisation and is a member of the Refromed APC (R-APC), an APC party faction.
The APC campaign reportedly called for Galadima’s arrest a few hours before he was taken into custody by DSS agents in Wuse II, Abuja, our sources say.
There has been no official confirmation of the arrest or explanation as at the time of this report.
