Former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu, has expressed sadness over the demise of former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Dahiru Musdapher.

Kalu described the late eminent jurist as a man of impeccable character and emphasised that the late CJN ‘s judicial career was remarkable and worthy of emulation.

According to the former governor, the demise of the former Supreme Court judge is a huge loss not only to the Judiciary but Nigeria at large.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser, Kunle Oyewumi,  Kalu said: “I received with pain, the news of the passing of the former chief justice of Nigeria, Justice Dahiru Musdapher.

“The deceased was one of Nigeria’s finest in the judiciary. He was dedicated, forthright, and patriotic in the discharge of his judicial responsibilities. The late justice Musdapher made valuable and unforgettable contributions to the country in different capacities. He was, indeed, a great personality.

He urged the family of the deceased to take solace in the fact that their patriarch left behind good legacies for them to uphold and prayed to God to grant the late legal icon eternal rest.”

Kalu also commiserated with the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, the government and people of Jigawa State over the irreplaceable loss.
